The Pride of St George is one of the most popular lunches in the MBN calendar with clients making it an annual fixture in their diaries.
There is always a fantastic mix of big names in English sport and brilliant musical entertainment. Think ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Rule Britannia’ and a last night of the proms style atmosphere!
The 2020 edition of the Pride of St George lunch takes a more wintery feel but it will still be an event to remember!
Event Speakers
Itoje has emerged as an England Rugby treasure, becoming a dominant force in the Saracens, England and Lions teams. Last year, he was described as England’s ‘leader of the pack’ in the Rugby World Cup held in Japan and during this years’ Six Nations, Itoje proved to be a pivotal presence.
One of the funniest men on the speaking circuit. The Soccer Saturday star is an Arsenal legend with 327 appearances for the club scoring 78 goals. Merson altogether gained 21 caps for England and represented the nation at a UEFA European Championship and the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
English sporting heroes don’t come much bigger than Martin Johnson CBE. For Leicester & England combined Johnson racked up a mammoth 446 caps. He captained his country 39 times in the process and delivered the only world cup England have ever won.
An English sporting legend and one of the best Cricketer’s to every play the sport. Botham scored over 5,000 test runs for England and is third on England’s all time wicket takers list. A huge character on and off the pitch.
