The day before England faced France in their final World Cup pool game in Japan, our Rugby Speaker of The Year event was held. The event had a new look with it being a rugby World Cup Japan edition, including a slight Japanese twist to the food. Host, David Flatman, held a captivating Q&A with special guest Francois Pienaar, who shared some incredible stories. Later on in the lunch the competition started with Kyran Bracken MBE, Jim Hamilton and James Haskell battling it out for the Rugby Speaker of The Year 2019 trophy and title. It was a close result, however, the room seemed to love Kyran’s tongue party trick and voted him the winner of 2019.
